Don't think it would decrease the car's value--after all there were fewer than 10k 02 series cars assembled in Portugal, so they're pretty rare.  Actually BMWs were CKD assembled in other countries during their production life--Uruguay, South Africa etc.  It was usually to get around excessive import duties in various national markets, or to meet local content laws--where a certain percentage of the complete car had to be accomplished in-country, often met by assembly, painting, locally made upholstery, tires etc.
