body and interior Rocker Panel Trim And Fasteners????

Side note: white plastic/nylon clips are not that great. I've found that they can hold the trim with a good firm application, but tend to release over time. Say a year or less. Contradict me, I dare ya!

I found both these on rocker trim steel panel.  I can purchase the newer ones in the picture.  Are the old one obsolete now? Thanks
