How Does This Baffle Fit? Anyone Using? Pics?

I'm looking around for baffle or a baffled pan, and found this. I thought I'd find it this side of the ocean, but I don't know..

How do I install that..? Weld in "standing"? Anyone using this and got pics?

That's not for a M10

My baffle... Goes well with the scraper. More consistent oil pressure

Is that the IE baffle?

I found the one above on a somewhat confusing PDF from a German company, listed under M10. But I couldn't figure it out..

I just got a reply to an email I sent the same german company.

They sent me a link: http://www.kolb-motorsport.de/Motorteile/M10/Motorteile%20BMW%20M10.pdf

And prices:

From what I've understood Schottblech is baffle.

Schottblech                    59,00 EURO

Ölhobel                        159,90 EURO

Versand Schweden        25,90 EURO

So, according to them, it's for an M10. Don't ask me how it fits=)

Maybe so. I've never fiddled with a E30 pan.

I guess IE's is the way to go. It just bugs me that the shipping across the ocean costs more than the baffle.

Ah, yes. You're irish! I might be heading to Ireland this spring. I was there during the 90's and liked it. Good beer, good whisky, and nice people. I won't be driving the 02, though.

I'm trying to find more vendors of 02 parts on this side of the ocean. I know of Cahsel (pricy), Walloth & Nesch (just stock), Jaymic and maybe Ahrend, Winter Tuning, Roesch.. Do you know of any more?

Make sure you get someone to weld in the baffle similar to the above, although I think this might be overkill by a factor of 2, better to be safe than sorry, I'm guessing the owner welded it in place?

The monkey who welded mine in, before I was able to weld, made the welds too big and warped the BRAND NEW sump, not to mention it wasn't straight.

Yes, it is an IE baffle. Felix noticed something very important; only use a few tacks to hold it in place. nothing more is needed. doing more will warp the pan.
