...wife's tale or wives' tale, depending on how many wives are bleeding your brakes for you.

 

In front, while, theoretically, you want to bleed the lower outer piston

before you bleed the lower inner piston

(for valid hydraulic scientific reasons well understood by most wives)

unless you're using the foot- pump method, it won't matter too much.

Even then, you'll be doing it 2 or 3 times, so you'll be fine.

I replaced the whole rear cylinders in the rear breaks rather than just rebuilding them.  Thank you all for the help with this.  I get my car back from getting painted next week and will give these methods a shot.  I'll be sure to follow back up with any progress.

btw...they are BRAKES.  not BREAKS.  you don't want breaks on your car......

Actually, wouldn't it be wive's tale, as wife is singular and wives are plural, so the plural doesn't need the plural apostrophe position?

 

(it's not, but why the hell not???)

 

So, child's and children's, but never childrens', since that would make plural children, which are already plural?

Ironically, the tire rack on my trailer's painted bright yellow, because my friend's wife

clobbered her head on it.

 

Now that it's yellow, I have whacked it at least three times, but my wife has not.

Nor has my friend's wife.  Our wives are smarter than we are.
