Isn't there a problem sending a different core back?

I got the SR-441x Starter.  Its more powerful than the M3 starter and usually a tad bit cheaper.  I got it from this place...they are on eBay but I am not far so I drove and picked it up.

The first one I had lasted about 9 months...it has a 1 year warranty.  They swapped it no problem and this one has been perfect for 3 years.

 

It says new....not reman...

I don't understand -

 

Bosch SR-441x is around $ 120 to $ 130

Carries 2 yr/24k warranty

 

You guys buy alt from ebay where some shop rebuilds themselves

vs buying Bosch Factory reman for a few dollars more ???

I've sent completely wrong cores back a few times with alternators and starters, and nobody noticed.  Just put a starter/alternator in a box, any one you got, and it should be fine.  I once used an alternator from an abandoned Nissan Pulsar as a core return for a Subaru Outback Alternator, and got the money just fine.
