engine and drivetrain Early Nk Oil Breather

I have recently come across an m10 valve cover that has no breather outlet. Does anyone have a part#, diagram or reference photo they can share to account for these substituted parts on a 1500? I plan to connect a breather to the exhaust, but am more than curious of how the factory accommodated crank case ventilation on early cars.

What are you thinking of connecting to the exhaust?

An alternative to venting to atmosphere or the air box is to route a hose and one way valve into the downpipe. The exhaust stream draws positive crank pressure.

I think you will find that the exhaust system creates  more pressure than the crankcase. Turbos for example. I suspect it would have been done if it worked. Why not hook it up to the air cleaner where we know there is a vacuum.

It seems I will be looking for the early dipstick tube with the built in breather. This was likely fit to the earliest of 1500's,
