single line, two piston brake caliper question

Does anyone know if the early 1600 calipers are cross referenced with other vehicles? I've heard early VW Vanagans and Alfa Romeo's may be compatible.  I'm trying to source an extra set. These are the single line, two pistons (one on each side of caliper), not the two line four piston calipers found on most 02's.

I ran the E21 caliper with E21 vented rotors and hubs.

A long time ago, I seem to remember someone saying you could just use the calipers and carrier.

But I never tried it.

The E21 rotors are a nice upgrade.

The 78-83 e21 single line caliper uses the solid rotor, only 77 was vented. It bolts right on, same 02 rotor, you get slightly larger pads than the early calipers that's all. You need a short male/male brake pipe to the flex hoses too.
