WTB early style headrest

Hello everyone!

 

I'm looking for a pair of early style headrests for my BMW. It's a 1971 one, with brown interior. I believe it's called saddle brown. Anyway, here's a picture:

 

 

Obviously I would prefer a set of headrests that match the color of the interior. However, for now any odd headrest will do. I believe that if I get a headrest from the correct year, I should be able to change the cover later, right ?

 

So yea, if anyone knows where I might find such a headrest, I'd be a happy bunny!

 

Edit: as asked, the distance between the headrest holes from center to center is 45 cm.

Carl- that's a great looking interior! Since many cars have had their seats switched over the years, please measure the distance between the two headrest holes so we can determine which version will work with your seats.

Thank you Jim! That's an old picture, so it actually looks a bit better now!

 

I just went out and measured it. To the best of my measuring abilities, the distance is 45 cm dead, from center to center.

Dud999, I'm not exactly sure what you're advertising here to be honest! Can you take a picture of it?

And, assuming your seats are original to your car, i.e., '71, the diameter of the chromed supports should be 10mm rather than the 12mm supports that phased in during the '73 model year.
