A junking debate

Dear Pete, be sure to check the front and especially rear shock towers before you fully commit, as they can be a real mother to fix. I recently had to do both front frame rails, and the front floors on my 2002. You may want to consider getting estimates from a good metalworker as well, if you are  not going to do the cutting and welding yourself, as this can get expensive. All that being said, it sounds like a partially sentimental decision. If your fiancé is in favor of saving the car then I would say keep it,   your 2002 will be an priceless icon in your romantic and sports car life, forever.  Cheers, Peter

P.S. This is difficult to explain, however, I believe that women who truly understand you -and have some sympathy for your mechanical Loves and soul  are priceless  themselves. Some women never understand the romance of classic sports cars and motorcycles.  I've included a picture of a Ducati I bought years ago, only because my girlfriend said to me "you keep looking at that motorcycle. You work so hard, why don't you just buy it because you deserve it."  I would have to say that some cases both are keepers.
