Year:: 1974

Make:: BMW

Model:: 2002

Price:: 1400/bo

Location: : Roseville, CA

Autogator, in Roseville CA, just got in a 1974 2002, manual, that has been sitting for 20 years.  Its complete, very straight except for a couple areas and is very solid.  It has a lot of surface rust but looks good in the important areas.  Some minor rust in the spare tire well.  Engine turns over and looks very good inside the valve cover considering its been sitting so long.  Interior is all original and needs complete restoration.  This is a very good candidate for a project.  If you're local, check out autogator.com for photos coming tomorrow or Wednesday.  Not sure on the price but I think they'll ask low teens.

Low teens for a project candidate in non-running condition with lots of surface rust?

Best be low teens of hundreds

+1

Not a tii! After it's running well and nicely re-painted, it might be worth low teens.

Regards,

Steve

Lol, you guys get a little too excited. I've owned over 30 2002's over the years and I was surprised at how solid this car is. If I had room I'd keep it for myself. Low teens means around $1300.

Much better!

I took some extra shots of the engine compartment and underside.  I forgot the spare tire well so I'll do that later.  You'll have to ignore the rat crap, they didn't even hose off the engine!  There isn't any serious rust to speak of but it looks like someone took the car for a joyride in a muddy field before storing it.

Looks salvagable, but that rust down low looks like some substantial work

That's why it needs to be looked at in person.  That isn't serious rust, its a combination of surface rust, mud, dirt, old crud and makes it look much worse.  I wish they had cleaned the car up better, but they don't do that here...
