Luna would never do such a thing!  I gave her her first squeaky ball last week and I can count the number of times she has made it squeak on one hand.  She is very gentle with everything -- except bones.  She works very hard on those.  

 

I'll bet you have seen a few dog-chewed belts... my uncle's akita ATE the interior of his 318... shift knob, head rests, dash pad... bad bad bad.  He took it in stride though.  Dogs can teach us a lot about patience.

 

Luna's teaching has more to do with the occasional 'oops poops'

I have seen dog chewed seat belt buckles (plastic part), although admittedly never seen chewed webbing...

My 86 chevy when I bought it had dog chewed webbings on both sides. I replaced the driver with a junkyard unit. the passenger one wasnt bad enough to worry about, but if I come across a good set Ill change em out.

That is the hardest thing about having pets.  

 

I was so bummed out when my dog Lydia died, that I may never get another.  Bugsy the cat came with my house.  Luna came with my girlfriend.  Sometimes pets find us, whether we're looking or not.  Once they do, they become family members.  

 

Such a sweet face.  I am sorry for your loss.

So sorry about your loss. I share your loss. The picture in my avatar is my beloved Rikka. She passed away 2 years ago last week. I still find her hair in the 1600 and drive my wife nuts refusing to

vacuum it out. I just cant bring myself to do it. Best wishes to you and your family. Picture below is Rikka the day before she passed away.
