Hoping for some locals help and also hoping to make some new friends. Looks like I have a couple acquaintances on this board already.

 

I'm a motorsports guy looking to get my hands on a pre-smog runner/running project. I've been a huge 02 fan for quite some time, but only recently have been able to afford one (mind you I've seen the prices go from ridiculously cheap to exorbitant).

 

I drive for a Lemons team, and the quickest car in our class was a 2002. What really peaked my interest was the fact that it was such a great looking car on the track. It was right at home. I don't plan on building another lemons car, and I'd really like for the 2002 I get my hands on to be complete. I plan on driving it to and from work (Oakland to San Mateo) every now and then. Anyways here are my criteria;

 

my ideal 2002 is; 

1970-75 (I'm no elitest, I love both tails)

Sunroof

4spd (5spd would be rad)

Complete (not a basketcase)

Running

Fjord, Pastelblau, Polaris, Schwarz, Agave preferred (not limited to)

 

 

For me the sunroof is a dealbreaker. My grandfather had an 02 and he would always make me open the sunroof. Cranking that thing open when you're 5 years old is a feat. I'm hoping someone out there has a family member or friends that might have what I'm looking for. I'm not rich, and I'm hoping I can buy one before you have to be rich to own one.
