One of the worst feelings is when you get a big blob of weld splatter

that runs right down the front of your  leg-

and it rolls into your shoe and sits on top of your foot.

Yes, I still have that scar...  I threw the sock away, though.

It's cool to see this as I am just doing a set of coil overs for our neighbor's son's 240 Z , they painted James' 2002 so we are working together , I like to weld etc . I am Tig welding so no burnt socks :)

a tig arc is said to be 7X brighter than the sun.

it seems every CO thread that comes up is looking for clarification on how to mod the strut housing. I want to know what rear shocks everyone is using (when paired with MKI billsteins, and GC's) for going semi low.

On the welding front my hands smell like BBQ if I've done a lot of welding, no color change though. Where I used to work we made the NFL Helmet cars I had sunburn through my T shirt from Mig welding all day !!

I am keeping my eye on this for future coil over mod to my car , fascinating stuff.

2 inches removed from the tube.

With spacers.

To measure for the spacer, insert the strut. Measure with a piece if wire. Top of the strut to top of the tube. Thats your spacer length
