Is the metal frame of the euro light the same as the one for the US light? Always wondered if the bulbous lens was the only difference, then perhaps something could be done using a core from any US turns and a lens similar to this one.

Just thinking out loud.

The frame is the same.

This is highly interesting to me.  Cutting this aftermarket lens/light to fit inside a US metal frame, seems to be the best of both worlds?
