WTB - Driver and Passenger Side View Mirrors

They're commonly referred to as swan's neck mirrors, they are rare, and they are not (yet) reproduced. But Mercedes and Porsches of the same era used remarkably similar mirrors and this knowledge may allow you to enlarge the pool from which you draw -- noting, of course, there are only 17 people worldwide who can tell the difference! Admittedly, all 17 are regularly on this, the German, and/or the U.K. forums and will point out this infraction (if I could tell the difference, I'd certainly point it out!). But billions of people will believe your car has precisely the right mirrors.

Please note that for '68, the swan's neck mirror is moved back from the leading edge of the driver's door, where it was located on the '66 and '67 cars. The outside rear view mirrors, beginning in '68, are in the same location as the later trap(ezoid) and flag mirrors. And I just learned this week, from this forum, that the swan's neck mirrors are not "handed": you can use any example on either side of the car.

Here's a link to a good discussion of the topic on the U.K. forum:

Good luck,
