Becker Europa radio (non working fine)

FYI -- The "pinstripe face" Grand Prix is the top of the line for the '02 era; it's a Europa with signal-seeking tuning. Very posh, but doesn't have the cassette player of the Mexico, if that's an important feature to you. Back in the day, many people thought the Mexico -- because it had to incorporate the cassette unit into the same-sized head unit as a Grand Prix -- did not have as strong a radio as the Grand Prix or Europa. I have no hard data on that, but it's something that was....discussed.

Grand Prix and Europa radios came in both monaural and stereo versions through the early '70s but I believe -- at least with respect to the U.S. units -- only the stereo versions were available from ca. 1974 onward. I've discussed the dating of Becker radios -- it's the letter prefix to the serial number -- in Post #17 of the following thread:
