the rally had over 80 of the finest vintage cars in attendence and some of the most important and well well known car collectors in the country showed up. it's a shame more 2002's didn't show up (there was about 10 vintage bmw's with about five 2002's). it was fantastic event with some very impressive cars and really cool guys. lots of alfas/bmws/porsches

 

the next one is planned for sep/oct. let's get a big 2002 crew out to the next one

..... and whomever decided to say the 190SL is collectible needs to have their head examined.  It's about as fun to drive as my old '87 honda civic.

Awesome! Thanks for the pics.

 

Looks like some of the usual suspects from Targa California were present (green tii, big red Lincoln ).

 

I would have been there, but my tii blew a head gasket . . . . will be back on the road soon! I will certainly be at the next one, and Targa Baja California!

Andrew, the Merc in the 1st and 2nd pics is in fact a 300SL . . . . . a whole different ball game than a 190SL!

def was a 300sl. owned by stiring moss at one point. worth 5-10 million today probably higher in 5-10 years

 

the yellow 250 lusso was enzo's personal car back in the 60's for a short period as well. worth 10-20 million today

 

there was some of the most important and influential people and cars at this event. i'm hoping bmw's show up to the next one in much larger numbers with 2002's/3.0's/bavaria's/507's/503's/etc
