pretty sure they are 14" e30 steelies ( came on the 318, black and covered by hideous hubcaps).  Blunt can order them.

They are poor man Boranies which were the period correct steel rims that Alpina's used

+1

Minor note: while CMR (successor firm to Carlo Borrani, S.p.A.) manufactured the '02 13" steel rims for Alpina, Lemmerz actually manufactured the NK 14" steel rims for Alpina. Same design, different manufacturers. Why the change in manufacturers? I haven't a clue!

First photo is of a 5 1/2 x 13 CMR (Borrani) Alpina; second photo is of a 6 x 14 Lemmerz Alpina (in primer). The Lemmerz rims are stamped "ALPINA" on their faces; the CMR rims are not.

Regards,

Steve

I thought they were banded e30 steelies too, but was informed they are ultra rare alloys produced by the Japanese branch of Bridgestone. Lovely car, but yes, a replica based on a Ti.

That's pretty funny, Nick,

For, presumably, a LOT of money, you can have the look of inexpensive factory steelies! Surely they could have bought a set of the original Alpina steelies for less!
