I'm not sure there is any difference between a '66 and '73 rear quarter panel, other than a few more holes drilled -- post-installation -- in the later quarters for side marker lamps and knee trim.

But if there is, someone here will know it!

Actually, all quarter panels can interchange. A 76 double panel will fit a 68 1600. Lose the inner panel, fill the side marker lights and bumper bellows holes and refinish as needed. BMW did not change the shape of the panel where the tail lights fit, from a roundie to a squarie

I have been saving the back half of a sunroof, late 2002 to make a trailer out of. Never happened, so if you want another option to get two quarters, this might work. PM me for details
