WTB: Accelerator Pedal Beering

Seeking the bearing/roller for the accelerator pedal for a '73. Missing when I purchased the car. Anyone have a spare, or know where I can buy one individually online?

Just a fyi, mine was missing also, I went to the local bigbox home improvement store and purchased a nylon bushing that approximated the measurements of the pedal "u" hook dimensions and the pedal lever.  a bit of mod with files and sandpaper and it works to this day, 8 years later.

Thanks for the tip. I'll see what I can find. Any recollection of which department it might have come from? Plumbing/Automotive/etc? Either way, appreciated.

No problem.  The nylon bushings came from Lowe's in the hardware section, that section with all the shallow pull out drawers.   The part is still available new, check realoem, Penske or your local bmw dealer.

yes, it is not a bearing or a roller.  it is just a friction fit teflon bushing.   still available new from bmw.  try BLUNT for a source.

+1. You should investigate the pedal box rebuild kit from BLUNT and possibly the I.E. pedal bearing kit.  I have both installed in my 69.

I'm afraid use of the word "beering" may have inadvertently uncovered one of my nocturnal activities. Found the bushing on Blunt, part 35414440122. I'll try the temp solution of a modified bushing until this one arrives. Thanks for the help.
