Kinda random. But I had a famous photographer/stylist email me a few weeks ago saying she wanted to use my very orignal looking 71 Agave in a photoshoot that will be used for a international makup companys Fall 2015 campaign. So I said why not.

They are a LA based makup company catering to what I think is 15-25 year old women. I just kept my mouth shut the whole time and watched the process.

thats very hip..

but Id say 15-18 ..lol

(most fotogs , and people in the know(fashion, tech etc etc) are very aware of the cool factor of vintage cars these days....

You're right, ever since I put the car up to rent for commercial shoots I've been getting 2 or 3 inquires a month to rent it out. I charge $700 bucks for the day and I drive the car myself to the shoots.

If I do one shoot a month it adds up to about 10k a year of pure profit which is a nice side business if i can sustain interest. It helps that the car is in great shape and looks bone stock.

Where do you put your car up for rent at lol

Belive it or not craiglist here in LA. LA being the world capital of media helps my cause and the fact that these cars along with a few other 60's/70's cars are considered cool by kids nowadays.

Very cool, my prewar cars have been used in ads since the 60s. Athena was used in the Boden Fall 2012 catalog and online. Always fun to get paid for it.

Found the green lipstick very unattractive. The blonde guy sure has some heavy tat sleeves.

What a great way to subsidize the car habit.  That's so cool.  Your car and the models look great!  Agave lipstick :) I'm afraid to show my 11 year old daughter.

Don't show your daughter! the models where over 16 they told me and they were all really nice and moody.

I also have been working with the founder of this website that is not live yet but will be soon. It is essentially a relayrides for classic and vintage cars. There is a through background check on the renters and a 1 million dollar umbrella poilcy and roadside assiastance provided by hagerty so it makes it a lot easier for guys like us to rent out our cars.

Here is my car listed on the site
