Ignition switch needed

I need the actual electric ignition switch itself but would consider the keyed portion and switch if you do not want to separate. Shipping to 27215. Please reply to direct email below.

This may not apply to your need, but I have resurrected several of these switches with liberal application of electrical contact cleaner/lube and working the mechanism until it penetrates. Then used some 320 grit to clean all the terminals. This has worked on all the errant switches I have done it to.

A screwdriver used to turn the car over got the best of this one. They key was lost for a while. It has an internal short when attached to the back of the keyed portion so an insulator must be bad inside or in the portion that receives the square shaft.

I have a couple laying around and continuity testing does confirm all the contacts are working.  too bad the screwdriver approach wrecked the switch, as Jim indicated it is possible to resurrect the switches with a good cleaning. SSend me and email at  douggaleh at Hotmail dot com or pm at this site if interested in purchasing a switch.
