Early tii 5 inch steelies

I was clearing out my garage the other day, and came across the original set of rims for my now deceased 73 2002 tii. They are a matching set of 4 Kronprinz (model 5448 A) Rims that are dated 10/72. They have been sitting in my garage for over 20 years, and are pretty dirty and grimy, and have signs of original wear and one (on the right) has some rust on the inside.

I was going to have them refurbished and sell them for a higher price, but if you're interested I'd be willing to sell the 4 of them for $500 + shipping from Los Angeles.

Let me know if so, and we can take it from there.

thanks!

Hmmm...I bought the 4 1/2 steelies for like 60.00   They were pretty hammered, so I had them powder coated for 40 per wheel.  So I had about 220.00 for the whole set.   250 per wheel seems stout.  We are talking about the steelies here, not the alloys.

Most of the 5" steelies got tossed or lost the day after the buyer took delivery in the 70's and wanted a different look.  My sense is that it's a seller's market for them right now and when you see them available, and want/need  them, then buy them.

This may be an example of the tail wagging the dog, but if you don't have a factory tii, just sell the tii struts & brakes & go to base 2002 struts & brakes.  Your 4.5" wheels will fit and you'll have $$ in your pocket.

Good luck!

There's a set on ebay.. for a grand.

I just sold three for 75$...  I was feeling generous.

Per wheel or for the trio?
