This restored verona red 1973 touring is for sale right now in Great Britain. The modifications appear to be very tasteful, with mildly widened steelies in the rear, deleted lower trim, LSD and 5 speed, weber carb, custom exhaust, Petri sport steering wheel, and a bit lower than stock. At roughly $21,000 I think this car is great value, and if you imported it to the US you'd have one of the only RHD tourings in town!

It's a '75 2002 Touring with 114,000 kms. It was just inspected in September and knowing their inspections car should be sound. Price is about $8,900.

According to the front grille, door panels and rear "2002" badge, it's a early/mid '73 Touring.

Maybe it sat in the dealership a good while before being sold originally (3/75?)

Exactly. A 1973 model that was first registered in March 1975. It sat in the showroom all that time. Decent car.

We have a couple Tourings on their way form Germany, one 1973 1800 and and the other a 1990 325i. Can't wait to have these cars stateside!

lovely - can you share some pics of the cool interior? What a rare car- I'd "heard" these also had the lip of the front panel and the sill (rockers) painted black. Yours doesn't, but do you know if it came that way before the respray? Congrats on the best touring there is.

NEWB question: Is there a good place to learn what the similarities and differences are between tourings and "regular" 02s?
