1966 Corvair Monza convertible. 2-speed automatic ("Powerglide"). 4 carbs! 

 
Air-cooled 6-cylinder.  Softer ride than the 2002, but definitely not as sprightly as my 4-speed 2002. And the 2002 steering is much crisper than the Corvair.
 
Many in the Corvair community thinks the 2002 design was ripped off from the Early model (1960-1964) Corvair.

Very close to the truth. The real story is NSU took the Corvair styling. Europe loved the Corvair design. NSU capitalized. Other companies followed. Renault, BMW...

On Tuesdays and Thursdays now, I ride the beater '81 Yamaha XS400 (only way I can get reasonable parking when I have to go between a couple campuses in the daytime):

 

 

On days that I need to haul mulch, firewood, trash/recycling, etc., its the '65 Datsun L320:

 

 

When salt is on the road in winter, I drive the '92 Miata:

 

 

Most Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I drive the 2002, though.
