I saw this ad and thought I would pass it along.  A 1968 BMW 2002 in Chamonix over Black and Gray.  Some upgrades, wheels, suspension, carb, rebuilt motor and trans,  With some work it could be a nice early car for someone.

Interesting, as are all the early cars!

It could also be a Manilla or Sahara car -- or some slightly non-'02 color, as it's been re-painted -- but the black front seats and armrests suggest it could also be a truly color-changed car, as navy blue would be matched with Chamonix and "some brown" ("UPS" or tobacco) would be matched with Manilla or Sahara.

If it's really a '68 model, and not a '69 model manufactured in late '68, it's especially rare, as '68 was a very short year for 2002's. Start with the VIN, ask BMW Archives, and go from there!

And...as if a '68 isn't special enough, it has Mark IV A/C, one of at least two A/C styles that mounted on the dashboard parcel tray -- and "took over" your glove compartment!

"Completely Original" as promised? Hardly, but the seller thinks those are factory rims, so he probably wouldn't be correctly classified as an '02 authority!
