what is a massive oil pan?  for a m-2 conversion  you can use a s-14 trimed, cut sub frame or a 2002 with a 2002 oil pump.  recommend a baffled  2002 unit with trap doors  Bruce M-tuner 20flyinghorses@msn.com

I am currently building a m-2 it will get a 2002 race pan with 3 trap doors and windage tray, i have been racing with this pan since  i  raced a tisa in 1980 s with no failures, the s-14 is known for having problems with the stock pan, the e-36 lite weight had a dual pick-up race pan, it did not work at dytona, they blew up. building race motors 40 + years with no lower end failures   Bruce  factory trained bmw master mechanic  M-tuner 20flyinghorses@msn.com
