Hey folks!

I thought now would be a good time to introduce myself.  I’ve been a longtime lurker and had a few BMW’s throughout the years (E21, E28, E34, E38) but have finally found an ’02 for myself.  Some of you will likely recognize the car—it belonged to two forum members prior to my ownership.  I was fortunate enough to pick the car up from Ben Younce’s enviable garage and met some great folks while I was at it.

The car is a Verona red (original color respray) 1976 2002 with a tii motor and an E12 head.  As was described to me, the provenance of the car is largely unknown, but it is in great shape and a ton of fun for my purposes.  I hope to keep the car on the road and enjoy driving it.  It really is a blast to drive and the extra 20-30 horsepower and tighter chassis really make it a night and day difference from my former E21.

In the past few weeks of ownership, I’ve done a few minor things just to put my own personal touch on the car.  I realize that this one’s probably not for the purists, but man do I love it.

This thread will serve as a place for me to keep tabs of the car as well as post the occasional picture.  I look forward to getting to know some of you and am continually blown away by the wealth of information that this site provides.

Cheers!
