Style question

Henning

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'd like to know if somebody has already found out a name of the figure style of the numbers on speedo and tach. They've got some certain details like the peaks on the 2 and the 4, the straight neck of the 6, the symmetric 8 and so on.

Maybe it's "Hermetica Gold Bothic" or "Darnada Tech" or "Slim Slippy Speed" or whatever.

Does anybody know?

So long,

Hen

There is a font that's very close called Neutraface

http://www.houseind.com/fonts/neutraface/viewfonts

but since those fonts were released in 2002 (I couldn't make that up I know it's not the font that was used.

The Neutraface was based on work by Richard Neutra  (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Neutra), so I'm sure there is another font, that sadly, I can't find.

Hope that helps

On closer inspection, the 3 & 5 aren't right....  others are close...

Much closer than my pick!

The three on the gauge look like the top and bottom are the same size, where Century Gothic has the bottom of the 3 bigger than the top.

How ever the 8 on the gauge, does not look symmetrical top and bottom.... which does match CG.....

I HATE fonts! :)
