Roundy tail light bulb contact titties

Are you talking about the contact spades the bulbs rest on in the sockets or the male spades the wiring harness attaches to? While I like titties the term is rather vague when talking of tail lights, headlights I might understand.

I've had brand new, way stupid expensive genuine BMW tail light assemblies that had faulty contact tabs. Since I had already spent my $600+ on new ones, (years ago on my last 02), I ended up soldering little globs on to the bulbs to ensure a reliable contact to the poor quality contacts. This involved adding mass to the bulb base, then gently filing them down so they fit snug, without being too tight. Something similar might help you out. I've had to repair a lot of NLA light assemblies where I work, and you almost get used to the inconvenience of fixing wonky connectors on every assembly you install. Almost. #restorationproblems

I follow the wattage labeled on the tail light reflectors religiously, to avoid melty melty sadness. 5w, 15w, 21w as I recall. After 40+ years, we can only hope the previous owners did as well.
