Year:: 1947

Make:: BMW

Model:: 2002 Tii

Price:: 3900.00

Location: : Lebanon, ME

I saw this ad and thought I would pass it along.  A 1974 BMW 2002 Tii in Grey over Tan interior.  It looks like it could have been Fjord originally, nice interior, lots of rust, missing some trim, needs brakes, good candidate for swapping everything to a new shell.

NM/NA,

That's 71 miles from my house, looks pretty crusty as expected.

Hey guys, what do you think about it. I have spoken to the owner and I have more pictures than the ad has. I am trying to guage a price and whether the car as a whole is worth salvaging. I've been looking for an 02tii for awhile. I am capable of doing welding and also fab work.

That needs almost a new body from the looks of the shock towers and floors, unless you want to tackle the project, it will end up a parts car.

Fastest route to enjoyment is a replacement chassis. But the purest future investor minded flipping negotiator slimy "specialty" car dealer poor guy always wanted one type will use anything against you when money is involved.

But I say "If you got the time and skills, do it!"

whatever your budget is triple it in time and money and you'll be close.

Given all that is there the price is good, but everyone wants a better deal so what's it worth to you is what you should offer and walk away.

But what do I know

Required reading list (to be read in advance of purchasing the above '74 tii):

So I have to ask you, after you've read the above: Are you stymee? (I should disclose that, although I've never met him, stymee is my hero, because he is saving a tii that I would have discarded!) If not, do you want to be LIKE stymee? If yes, make a deal and drag that beast home.

Good luck,

Steve
