introduction 2002 noobie, need help with VIN 2719748

Hi there, greetings from Brazil. Long time E34 owner and 2002FAQ lurker, now I finally pulled the trigger on a rough 2002ti. Please help me decode VIN 2719748. I have tried several decoders, no success so far. I am particularly interested in knowing the original color of the car so I can proceed with my restomod project.

Any help is much appreciated, and congrats on putting together this amazing resource.

Wait a minute.  I've never seen a left hand drive 2002 with hanging pedals!  I thought only the RHD models had those style of pedals.

 

A co-worker of mine is Ricardo Prado in Brazil.  Please look him up and tell him Jim said hello.  He will be excited that you are a 2002 owner.

On the hanging pedals, probably because it was running a 2.2 liters GM engine... It is gone now.

FYI: VIN 2719748 is a 1973 BMW 2002tii (not ti). Would have been manufactured July or August 1973.
