Schnitzer Twin Cam .... todays update

It utilizes a factory Schnitzer kugelfischer racing pump (made by Kugelfischer to Schnitzer's specification for the TC 16v motor) with 7.5mm pistons and then special Bosch DLO 90c racing fuel injectors.  i don't believe the pressure coming out of the pump is any different than a standard pump, alhough I suppose it could be (never thought to ask)

Its always the last 1% of work that is the hardest.  They finished making up new injection lines last week (those are up at Gus' >Pacific Fuel Injection< being tested - don't want an accident at this point), and then sourced some correct (proper fitting) spark plug grommets and wire from Magnecor, so that is pretty much it.  Best guess is that they will start to set up the dyno next week or the week after to test and run-in.  A big milestone for sure.

Yes sir, there will be.  At some point the car was run without one there and was one of the reasons we made new lines (they were pretty chewed up in that area), as well as a mish-mash of fittings, old 90's, new(ish) 90's, straight etc.,  All new fittings and line on these now (and it is a mother bear to make these things up)

No, unfortunately - I really screwed it up.  Let a little too much time pass before getting on critical things (like the bodywork).  Body should be out of paint in a couple of weeks and most of the other components are done (or near done) so then it is assembly.  Going to be at Hamlin's place doing some fab work for a couple of weeks (hopefully no more than that) and then back home for completion.  I had some conversation with the folks that run the Quail event but have decided to bring it to Legends, more people will get to see it in whatever condition it is in (my intention is to have it running and driving).  The Quail is $700 to enter which gets you two tickets.  Both my sons would want to go at least for a while, $600 a ticket is a pretty steep entry fee so nearly $2k to attend.  There may be something else as well, not saying anything at the moment until that plan gels (or doesn't gel).

There are at least 3 or 4 people that have been following my project for a pretty long time, and while a picture is worth a thousand words nothing replaces seeing something first hand up close.  Taking it to Legends I think is a good thing and will allow folks to see it with out paying the steep price of admission the Quail requires.  Maybe the Quail next year minus my boys, or better yet, racing it at the event ;)
