Offered here is a good running and driving version of one of BMW's first performance cars. The 2002 features a larger 2.0L engine, upgraded from 1.6L of the base model "02 Series" which were based on their New Class Sedans. The 2002 model was produced after Helmut Werner Bönsch, BMW's director of product planning, and Alex von Falkenhausen, designer of the M10 engine, each had a two liter engine installed in their own 1600's. They then pitched the idea to BMW's board, and the 2002 was born!

This example was single family owned before it came into our possession. With just under 93,xxx miles, the BMW still starts up and drives with no problems. This is not a show car, and would be great for someone wanting to restore it, or even hot-rod it into a Tii clone for some vintage racing!
