WTB: Mirror cage nuts or alternative solution

Hey folks,

I realize this is a shot in the dark, but I'm looking for some cage nuts for my mirrors.  I've read some threads that have suggested jack nuts or similar, but I haven't found them to be useful (or I haven't bought the right size?).  Does anyone have any extras or a viable workaround?

Thanks!

Although the tool can get expensive (maybe you can borrow one, locally?) I'd consider using "rivnuts", perhaps. A quick Google will explain them. When my original cage nuts finally fail, that'll be my next option. Available in metric and std sizes/thread pitch. Pretty easy to install using the special hand tool. A life saver on race cars and custom stuff.
