Remember my IG post about the South American customs restrictions?  May be the same for Italy.   For those that are not in Instagram, the customs declaration form for South America states used auto parts are prohibited.

Wow! That is crazy Jim! I go to S. America at least once a year and have never seen that form! I was going to try to bring back a set of Pirelli 13” tires with me next time, but I will have to check now to make sure. I know for a fact you can ship auto parts to or from there, I have sent stuff to Brazil and there is a great shop in Uruguay that restores vintage beamers - they have some 02 parts at times as well.

Steve, I think a forum member has acquired a set of these, maybe he will share them with us once he finally has them in hand. Doubt he’ll ever sell them of course. J

I found and bought my campys in Italy.  Had them crated and shipped to the US.  Did not have any problem with customs on either side.

+1

And I’ve bought both Campy’s and a single R1/472 Alpina-Borrani out of Italy, as well.

Best regards,

Steve
