Up for sale is a clean rust free example of a 1983 e21 320i. The car is an original blue plate California car purchased in San Diego. I purchased this car from an older gentleman in San Diego who took great care of the car.

Exterior

The exterior of the car is very clean and straight. There are no major dents or scratches. The car has
been repainted at some point and the paint presents well. There is no oxidation or clear coat failure
present. The original wheels are in good condition, the chrome lip has some caked on brake dust. I
would recommend removing the chrome lip and having it polished. All of the BMW wheel caps are
present and in good condition. The sunroof is not currently working. I suspect that it is stuck due to the fact that it opens slightly. I have not wanted to force the issue as the cable is still intact. All in all the car presents very nicely.

Interior

The seats, and carpets are in excellent condition. They are free of any rips or tears. The car has the
original BMW radio and it functions as it should. The dash has some cracks but the car has been fitted with a good quality dash cap. The odometer is not rolling. The previous owner indicated the mileage shown is pretty close. He estimated 3,000 miles on top of what is currently showing. The AC and compressor function however, the air does not blow cold. The car would need to be converted to R134 freon, unless you can source some of the old R22. All other gauges work properly and all windows roll down with ease.

Mechanical

The car runs and drives great. The engine pulls strong through all the gears. The transmission up shifts and downshifts smoothly with no grinds. Even 3 rd to 2 nd is a smooth transition with no grinding. The car does not leak any oil or other fluids. The oil pan shows nice and dry. There is no smoking of any kind from the tail pipe. The car passed California smog easily less than 1 month ago. Smog certificate will be provided with sale. The car stops straight. The one item that needs to be addressed are the front control arm bushings. Other than that the car is very mechanically sound and I would not hesitate to drive it long distances.

The car comes with the original manuals which include some dealer stamped maintenance records.
