yea, attention to detail sucks....... I sure as heck would not buy that car back for this price. Even though it has a brand new engine, MM rebuilt 5 speed and a new 4:45 rear. The prices quoted include labor and are rather inflated. Race cars...... pennies on dollars! Third owner is now selling the car. I don't think it has been on track for several years.

Toby,

Unfortunately, nothing. At 72, I think I've acted irresponsibly for too long! Although, I'm active as a chump car crew chief and occasionally help out as crew at vintage events, I like taking laid back trips in the country side in the Touring searching out new craft breweries!! I think that next summer I'm going to head out your way and hike in the San Juan Islands!!

I love your posts. Good advice!!

Thanks for asking.

Bob,

when you come up here, time it so you hit Sovren in Seattle and the classic in Portland a few weeks later.

THAT will cure you of responsibility!

Toby,

My daughter used to live in Portland so I've attended the classic. I tried to rent a ride there in 2003 but the only current licenses I had at the time were withBMWCCA and VDCA they wouldn't accept either of them. I'd love to see Sovren..... from what I understand the cars are well prepared but less rodded up. We've had a couple come through the shop when they have changed hands and come to the east coast.

I ran into that 2002 3 or 4 years ago at the vintage weekend in September at the Glen.  It participated in the parade laps around the original 6.6 mile road course on public roads.  I have pictures somewhere.....

Well, the Sovren 2002's look pretty period,

(and are pretty darned gorgeous to look at)

but dang, do they make Powah.  Way more than

period, that's for sure.

And there's usually some pretty good racing

amongst them, too.  If that fails, the Pro3 crowd

always puts on a show!
