The metal clips go in the first hole behind the front tire on both sides....

Before installing those metal clips, suggest going to your local hardware store and buying stainless steel nuts and washers (I think they're either 3 or 4mm)...you may have to remove those clips someday, and they live right behind the front wheels, collecting everything those wheels throw at 'em.  Put a little anti-seize paste on the threads too...

I purchased new chrome rocker trim from Blunt but upon inspection I of my old stuff have all but one piece of the rubber sill trim that gets glued to the chrome. Blunt has the entire Rubber Trim Gasket set for $189 but Holy hell, is there an alternative? I only need one long piece.
