OT: E28 Quandry

I had a gray market Euro spec 1985 E28 525e 5 speed that I bought for cheap off of Craigslist in Santa Barbara.  I did the 7" H1, 5.75" H4 headlight conversion along with converting the original 5 lug bottlecaps to 16" Work Ewing wheels. It was my DD for a while but the original Polaris paint was toast and decent paint jobs are not cheap. Instead of throwing money at it, I traded the E28 for a clean 74 tii shell since my original tii was a Frankenstein.  With a 5 speed, the E28 eta was not a performance car by any stretch of the imagination.  I couldn't imagine driving an automatic E28 eta, that would be a slow car.

They are a good car, but this isnt an eta, it a full fat M30 184 bhp, and goes like shit off a shovel. .

Definitely no emissions crap on it, so not expecting it to be 'slow'.  Sold a 2.8litre W123 MB with CIS injection. Huge whale but more than fast enough (even with an auto box).

Carbs: They're necessary and barely controlled fuel leaks that sometimes match the air passing through them.
