You are absolutely correct. I had to replace my CH with 78, E21 CH and machine shop drilled the holes for mechanical fuel pump. Didn't 77 or 78 E21 had the distributer rotate counter clockwise? My machine shop utilized my original cam and the helical gear at the end of the cam in this 78 CH.

I am in BC, Canada, but would be willing to ship at buyers expense. Asking $200 USHave a e21 head off of 78 320i. It would have to be drilled for full pump as mentioned by others. Was off a running car.

Have e21 2.0 combustion chamber heads .

Heads are pressure tested ,new guides and vuiton seals ,valves hand lapped and ,surfaced.

$750. out right

You will need to transfer cam shafts and rockers ,or can supply for moe money.

i believe you have to grind just slightlyin one area  on the e-21 combustion chambers to accomodate the e-12 piano top pistons. Flat tops no problem
