I actually love it! The hatchback blend to the truck looks great. It's a little long looking, but a great job overall delivering on a vision.

I'd buy one, a fantastic camping vehicle.  But I'd raise it up a bit, desert dirt roads require lots of ground clearance.

Fabricating the hatch would be the most difficult part, unless you could find one that could be adapted from another car.  Roof could be made from two 2002 roofs welded together, and the side moulding would come from a Touring.

 

Actually Mike Pugh already built a 2002 panel truck, but it's disguised as an English Ford Thames...and is a lot boxier!

Nice job on the roofline- that's well- done.

I suspect photochop, but that doesn't matter.

Agreed, Esty.  It's also not (Hofmeister) kinky enough.  Previous versions with rear windows solved that one.  The hatch area looks great from the side, but a hinge mechanism to clear the trailing edge of the roof might be tricky
