Up until April 1971, the ends of the rear bumpers were short, just barely wrapping around the rear quarter panels.  And the rear bumpers, before April 1971, did not have a horizontal rub strip.  From April 1971, the rear bumper ends were longer, extending forward to the rear wheel housings, and the rear bumpers had a full-length horizontal rub strip.  I won't get into the true Euro bumpers with built-in lights for license plate illumination or rear overriders; but suffice to say that you'll probably need to specify what type of rear chrome bumper you're seeking!
