Hi,

 

I went looking for VR1 racing oil and it turns out O'Reilly's has the 5 qt. size on sale.  Plus, you get a free pair of Mechanix gloves with every container.

 

The price for the 5 qt. was $24.95.  The M10 is smiling.

Anyone know if this deal is just for the Dino version or will the synthetic be on sale as well?  Since my motor rebuild I am tempted to try the synthetic VR-1. I had so much blow by before I was using a quart of oil ever 100 miles or so. Now it's been a few months and the oil level hasn't dropped a bit. So I'm tempted to try the synthetic VR-1 at the next oil change.

I think it is as it applies to any Valvoline motor oil in a 5 qt. size.  Also good for two gallon jugs of Zerex antifreeze.

They had this deal at Autozone. $1 a quart for VR1 for weeks. All the guys on Pelican were all over it. You can't find a quart of VR1 at Autozone anywhere now.

^ yeah i visited to autozones to pickup VR1 and couldnt find any. Orielly's had the 5 qrt bottle luckily!

Damn, O'reilly's has 5 quart jugs of VR1?  I've just been stuck buying 1 qt. bottles for years, and never seen the 5 qt.  Unfortunately, the nearest O'reilly's is a 45 minute drive.

Go to Valvoline website and special offers. Scan your receipt and they mail you the gloves.

Just bought another jug for the gloves. I didn't see the synthetic VR1 at all this time. I wonder if they are still making it.
