2002 Euro Rear bumper

Location: Santa Fe, NM


Description:

BMW 2002 Rear bumper, long sides. With bumper bumpers (?), one rubber pad missing. Side bump rubbers "B" (some scraping).

No significant dents, some rust discoloration on underside. Body mount brackets included.

Will disassemble for shipping. Packaging no charge, shipping not included. The last of my bumpers.

Cuz it's not DOT; not 5-mph impact-spec. Looks the way it was designed to look in Germany by the people that built it; hard-mounted close and tight to the body Sexy..

US DOT bumpers look stupid.

Well I dunno. But I'd wager the pre '74 U.S. bumpers would match your definition of Euros.

 

The brackets, of course, in cases of MY '71 thru '73, are certainly a DOT consideration.

Here's my pseudo Euro bumper ;-) with DOT '73 brackets.

All Euro (& probably the rest of the World) rear bumpers had the licence plate lights in the centre bumper piece, all US rear bumpers did not.

Hence, those that know will recognise this as a US rear bumper assembly. The corner pieces are Euro though.
