Pirelli Cinturato CN36 Tires

2002#3

Recommended Posts

I just did 1800 miles on mine, and 4 hours in torrential rain on the highway leaving the Vintage.  They felt great.  And I think the Cinturatos look amazing on these era cars.  I previously ran 15" Alpina replicas and Michelin tires.

I'll have my own opinions about 14" + wheels on o2's (to each his own i say) and lets face it even with this "newish" offering <these have been available for about a year> limited options for 13" tires (and wheels)...and these are not inexpensive, so it makes sense for 14, 15 and even 16" wheels.  Even back when this tire was readily available it was one of the best options (along with the Michelin XWX 185/70 VR 13) available.  This is a really good thing I think for a lot of classic owners that ran these (Alfa GTV, fiat DINO and many, many others).  I only wish I had an o2 to put a set on.

When I got mine there were 2 sources: Longstone in the UK, and Lucas Classic in USA.  It was significantly cheaper from Longstone and they arrived in 3 days.

Lucas Tire in Long Beach also sells them but Longstone in England is currently cheaper, with free shipping.  Their service was great and I received the tyres last fall in 3 days.  Almost as fast as the Tire Rack, and they're only one state away.

While we're talking 13" tires, there is now a 205/60-13 Vredestein Sprint Classic readily available.  Not as cool looking as the CN36, but a good alternative for those looking for a 205/60-13 street tire.  Tire Rack sells those and has them in stock.
