5 speed conversion U-Shape tranny mount

Anyone have a spare? Need one to finish my 5 speed conversion.

dont use the u shaped support.

 

do it right. move the trans tunnel brackets back.

 

 the u shaped one eventually sags as the brackets twist under the load angle they were not designed for.

No need to second Marshall's experienced comments, but if you look at the geometry involved the problem is apparent.  That bracket creates a lever arm for the weight on the rear of the transmission to pry against the original mounting brackets.  Given that the transmission and drive shaft need to be closely aligned, the bracket provides one more point where the alignment can fail.
