What did you do to your 2002 today !

Growing up as a kid after getting my driving license i remember asking my mom, when can i get a car? Her reply was, "when you get a job and save up your money" that has always stuck in my head. She also thought us if you want something you better bust your butt for it. With that said, when you find a gem you go get it. Spent half the day cleaning this thing.

What I did to my O2 today (actually it was Friday), I found the electrical fault that was preventing the car from starting.  With full power on gauges, lights, fan, everything, the starter would not turn, no nothing.

Ultimately after some prompting from local 'O2 heads here in H-town, I inspected all wires and discovered that the ground strap coming from the neg battery terminal to the fender was frayed.  Put a jumper on there and Vroom!  she started right up.

Lesson-learned - check the ground strap

Woke up early this morning to go to caffeine and octane. Around 1000 cars and supposedly 15k spectators... Not a ton of vintage stuff though. 843222098313a3ba7a15499aa562a8f9.jpg9151cd50be7df982a12c55aa71811b10.jpg

Looks like the one that was for sale at the 2018 Vintage event.  If so, I have some pics of it.  Believe asking price was over $ 30K.  Riviera blue.

Unfortunately I was a couple hundred feet away when he pulled up. We immediately made our way over to It but the owner had slipped away into the crowd by the time we got to it.

It was super clean. The first touring I've seen in person!

One more shot of it
