Took apart the rear subframe this week to finally rehab it. While searching for info here, I found a post I made in 2010 about the parts I was accumulating to redo the rear subframe ?

Went to buy new M12 and M14 nuts (1.5 pitch) for the rear connections - they had the option of Nylocks but I declined because I wasn't sure if would be able to withstand the heat. Any benefit to using nylocks vs traditional locking nuts for the trailing arm/diff connections?

EDIT: Doh, I ordered the wrong ones, should be M10 and M12 x1.5. Oh well

Just put a switch on the power wire to turn the whole system off. That is what i did. Once your car is tuned, you will not want the AFR running all the time, it will just annoy you.
I have some small electronics I may take apart and steal a switch from. I was going to put a switch off the power to the digital display only, but may put it in the main power line. Again, I'll probably leave it on most all the time

Worked on my gas smell in the trunk. Replaced some of the fuel line and added a proper check valve.

Their was just a coupler that wasn't the correct size so I was pretty hopeful that was my source, But Nooooo

I still have a mild smell.  The rubber fuel neck has a couple of very fine hairline cracks but at $80. I was hoping thats not it.

I plan to replace that and the gasket just to be safe.  After that I think I'm pulling a gas tank.

The smell is definitely from the fill corner. I did get in my trunk and smash my face every where around the tank.

New check valve  with correct 3/8 and 5/16 barbs.

Had tires mounted on the Campys and installed them today.  Fritz is a whole new car!  I love how plush the ride is compared to the 195/50-15s I had before.  It's a much more "vintage" ride as well.  The sidewalls flex in hard corners and they complain while doing it.  I love driving it even more now!  These are the 13x6 et12.8 (E21 fitment).  No rubbing at all on twisty or bumpy roads.  Not even in slow corners where the 15s would rub slightly.  I'm in love ?
