They have one piston for the bore size and they have the crank.  I will bring them the head to clean and surface and I guess the flywheel.  What should I have them do to the flywheel?  I think they are balancing the crank,  but will check on that.  This was going to be a budget build,  nothing huge,  but seems to be building up to something bigger...

Thanks.

Have them balance whole rotating assembly including flywheel, I did that on my recent build and motor is smooth as silk, While there in there it is not a lot more money to do it

"Whole rotating Assembly"  meaning the Crank and the flywheel in the block OR the Crank, Pistons, arms, and flywheel in the block?  That might be hard,  because I am building the engine once it has been machined.  I would have to bring it back them.

Thanks!

When I built my motor, they balanced all rod / piston combinations, then spin balanced all the reciprocating parts- crank, rods, pistons, flywheel.  It's usually a couple hundred dollars.  Worth every penny.  And I believe they checked each piston diameter to make sure each hole in the block matched / worked...

Pictures!  Did you get the Recaros from the guy in Thailand?  How was the process?

Yes, I did. He was very professional. Invoice, tracking numbers, insured them.  A couple other members have used him also with good luck.  I have seen his work before on other cars and they all looked good. It is a Sloooow process nine weeks on a ship seems like forever.   I will try and get some pics, I'm supposed to be closing my pool not goofing on the interweb. He is going to quit making them soon so if your interested better do it now.  He's  "recaroforsale"  on facebook.

Engine rebuild and Engine compartment complete.  Rick and crew at North Bay Bavarian working on the fine tuning..  Really pleased with their wiring work.  Car looks really streamline considering how much wiring goes into an EFI conversion
